Local Current Index for Spain (LCiñ) more
LCiñ (Local induced Current index for Spain) is the result of the collaboration between University of Alcala and Red Eléctrica de España. Developed by the Space Weather Group at University of Alcala, it is a geomagnetic index obtained from the LDiñ index. From LCiñ, and after a calibration procedure, it is possible to obtain the geomagnetically induced currents (GICs) in an electrical device. The LCiñ is a near-realtime index for monitoring, diagnostics, and forecasting purposes.
